You can, you must and you will. I have already encounter so many people who claim they cannot live without him/her but several years later, they don't even give a shit anymore. To get over someone, you must stay away from him/her presence and avoid everything that will make you think about him/her. Second, give yourself time especially when it just happen recently. Third, meet new people and make yourself busy, the more you meet people the higher chance you will fall in love with the new one.
