Yes, sometimes too nice, people will take advantage from you. Plus, if you cannot turn down when people ask something that you don't like to do, you already being a weak person. Being nice to people is good, but if it keep happening even make you feel burdened and hard to reject what they asking for, it not good for you. In other words, maybe your friend just want you to say NO sometimes to other.
