Avoid being around people and environment that prompt you to react as such. Find a quiet environment, talk to yourself, you'll find a suitable answer. Avoid arguing with people whom you don't understand or who don't understand you.
Meet a trusted friend who is not like that and ask him how he controls his. I have such a temper too or lets just say I used to... Each time I feel it coming I just leave or turn a blind eye to the person or situation. Thank God I love music, drawing and writing, I used them to escape such scenes and drawing helps me practice patience and so does writing.
Try doing some sports, I think it will help too, don't give up, you can handle it.
