I guess they just want you to go for the best and not the least because they are aware of your potential and they want you to be able to use it not only to make them proud but also make urself proud.. yes it is annoying and you feel a bit down when you come home with a grade D or B and all the parents can say is 'is dat all you could do or they say something like what a failure' but well if you really think of it this is life no everything is fair only a few are.. if you know you did your best on that particular exam then you showed be proud of what you got at the end even if no one else does and the harder you work and practice the next time you will exceed your target and show all of them that you can get the A you were getting there step by step.. no need to get all angry at the parent if they ask that just smile and be like I did my best and next time I will do better
