They need to have some kind of presence, they need to have star appeal. People need to like them. I am a big fan of writing skills. I want to know that they can be comfortable writing a hit record.

It was two moments: Put It On Me made Ja a superstar. Then, I'm Real because Jennifer was a pop star and well known, and that changed things. When she f***ed with us, threw out the Murder Inc. records, it was the biggest track, it took us over the top, over, over, over the top. Those two moments made us solid

If a 12-year-old is listening to hip-hop, I think that's fine. As a 12-year-old, you know what time it is. You know that certain sh*t is happening and understand what they are talking about. Because it's real. Now if you had a demented kid, a young serial killer, would it matter what he were listening to?

I think it was to make really good music and give something to the people that, you know what I am saying, buy the music. I know that may sound f***ing corny, but that's what I wanted to do. It's a deep thing when you make millions off others buying your music. Artists, we owe it to the people, we have to go to the record studio and put out great albums. I hate hearing bullsh*t records, I hate hearing that, I ask how could they have released this? How could they do that to the people? Especially bullsh*t albums that sell.

I just don't think most celebrity relationships are real and have a real foundation, I don't think that it started with real love and everything. I think the way Hov is, everyone started getting on these celebrity couples after they seen Hov and Beyonce which I believe is the one true, real one. I want 'em to make it. I like those two alot. Hov is my brother and I'm just happy for them now. But they thing looks really real and with everyone else, it's like Hov tells you to take off your throwbacks and put on button-downs and that's what they do. They see Hov with the power couple and that's what they doing. That's like what's 'in' now.

See, the music business is d*ck riders for the better part. I understand that it's logic, I accept it but they're d*ck riders. So they want a Dream beat right now or they want a Polow Da Don or whatever like that. They d*ck riders. And I know and I can say that with the utmost confidence because they d*ck rode me for a large time and I wacked 'em in the head.

The world has yet to see the best of Nicki Minaj. What shes delivering to the world now is basically what they want. But I know that shes a super talented superstar who can do anything at a high levelrap, sing, act, whatever she wants to do. This is just the beginning of Nicki Minaj. Her best is yet to come. In my opinion she is as talented as my other girl Lauryn Hill. They have completely different styles. But as far as the talent is concerned they both can do it all.
