You go through different phases and points in your life and thats interesting. Someone may turn 40 and be thrilled to be out of their 30s, you know, but I dont think about it a lot. I feel younger than I did years ago. I have a better sense of myself and what Im willing to accept in personal and business relationships. That can only come with age, so I value the toll those years have taken on me for the positive aspects theyve brought. I wouldnt want to relive the drama of my early 20s because those were very angst-ridden.

The idea that achieving success in one area of your life will remove all of your problems is a delusion that most people have. I fortunately have seen both sides of the coin. I was a struggling actor in Los Angeles for many years and now as a successful actor, I have become very grateful for what I have.

Getting injured is always a concern on films like this. Film sets are dangerous. Knowing that something could happen actually adds to the excitement on the day. Its exciting when theres that element of danger but I have to say Im glad to have got through it unscathed and with no broken noses.

Darjeeling Limited is a comedy but there is substance, there is feeling and an opportunity for three brothers to reconnect and contemplate their dysfunctional relationship with each other and the loss of their fatherand these are all relevant things that we can connect to. There is room for playfulness. There are glimpses of humor in Wrecked and thats intentional.

The sickness kind of knocked me down and weakened me, but I still decided to spend a night in the woods, eating insects in February in Canada. As unpleasant as that transition was, it helped me make the shift as quickly as possible.

It made me have a much greater understanding of loss, of loneliness, and the level of intense tragedy that so many people have experienced in this world, I take a lot less for granted. It's really valuable to gain that, especially at a young age.

Im a much lighter person than the perception of me is. I am very serious about my work. Im focused and respectful to the process of filmmaking but in general I am not always that heavy or intense in my personal life.

I wish that was up to me, But the wonderful thing is that I have had opportunities to do very challenging work and that have been seen by many people and directors I admire. When you see an actor succeed in doing something, you would think of them for may be your project where they fit and I understand that.

I did hang out in that world. But, I mean, I've gone to gay bars before. It's not like that's something I would only enter for a role. Obviously I'm not there to pick up anybody, but I'm not afraid to hang out in a predominantly gay establishment.
