The UK series of The Office was viewed by many as a milestone in TV, and the idea of it being redone in the US was thought of by its fan base as blasphemous. But to the show's credit, it works and captures its own distinctive aesthetic slant... It's interesting. That thought never crossed my mind how blasphemous it would be to do an American major network recreation.
