There was a certain amount of pressure in playing a character who is very well known and very beloved by so many people. But we sort of discussed that from the very beginning and one of the things that we wanted to do was sort of take away that baggage that comes with her being Alice in Wonderland and find the teenage girl behind the iconic image.
