Generations correspond to the era of time when all the people are born and living. In the same generation, all people who stay in your vicinity are called your contemporaries. Generations are several phases in the progress or development of some particular entity. We have had five generations of computer and four generations of mobile phones until now. Charles de Montesquieu had once remarked, “An author is a fool who, not content with boring those he lives with, insists on boring future generations.”
A single stage in the history of a family is also called generation. A family consists of people of different generations living together and hence there exists a generation gap between the members of a family. Estelle Parsons had once said, “All of the generations go to what is chic for them, and theatre seems to be an older generation's art form.”
