Someone is said to be impolite when he is not polite or lacks good manners. An impolite person is extremely discourteous and behaves rudely with others. Impoliteness is the quality of being impolite. It is not good to be impolite. Impoliteness tarnishes your image and reputation and people start viewing you as over-confident, rude and arrogant. People might behave impolitely because of some mental tension that takes its toll on them. Impoliteness is definitely a negative quality that can hinder your progress by tarnishing your reputation. Try to polite and courteous towards everyone. This will go a long way in creating and maintaining your clean image in the society. Impolite people always have very few friends and well-wishers. But it is the polite group of people who have several well-wishers and friends. The Bible says that “do unto others what you want others to do unto you.” So, behave politely towards others if you want them to treat you politely. According to Robert E. Howard, “Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”
