Milli Vanilli was a pop music project that was formed by Frank Farina in Germany and is more notorious than famous for their bad reputation after wining the Grammy award for best new artist in 1990. Though they gained instant fame when they won the Grammy, the award was taken back after it was discovered that the lead vocals on their album was not the actual voices of two singers of the troupe. This made them synonymous of cheating as one quote by Robert Pilatus says, “May be we are going to stop being milli vanilli and go do our own music. Our people did not want to have us as big as we are now. They created a monster”. The pop band saw many ups and downs after the lead player Rob Pilatus was found dead due to drug overdose. The other player Fab Morvan continued to pursue a solo career but could not attain the peak of fame.
