It is great to have options. But too many options can overwhelm you and sometimes even paralyze you to the point that you are unable to choose anything at all. Anyone else ever have this problem? This can apply to your career, your love life, and pretty much every other choice you're faced with on a daily basis. It's almost like you know you're the best running back in the world but when you find yourself facing a hundred holes too chose from, you think only one is going to lead to a touchdown... so you choke and stand still. You'll find yourself on the sidelines watching others play the game that you know you're best at. So...Make a choice! Follow your gut. You will be wrong at times. But when you get tackled...get your a.. back up, regroup, and attack through another hole. This game called life is brutal. But if you always focus on your goal and keep pushing, you'll find yourself exactly where you wanted to be. It may take a few more attempts than you planned but you'll be the one crossing the goal line, not someone else.

There's nothing to mourn about death any more than there is to mourn about the growing of a flower. What is terrible is not death but the lives people live or don't live up until their death. They don't honor their own lives, they piss on their lives. They shit them away. Dumb fu..ers. They concentrate too much on fu..ing, movies, money, family, fu..ing. Their minds are full of cotton. They swallow God without thinking, they swallow country without thinking. Soon they forget how to think, they let others think for them. Their brains are stuffed with cotton. They look ugly, they talk ugly, they walk ugly. Play them the great music of the centuries and they can't hear it. Most people's deaths are a sham. There's nothing left to die.

People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.

Reasons why its great to be a Woman; We can get laid anytime we want. We never have to buy our own drinks at the bar. We piss sitting down so its easier to pass out on the toilet when you're drunk. We get out of speeding tickets by crying. We get out of speeding tickets by showing a little cleavage or leg. We can sleep our way to the top of the class. We get to shop at Victoria's Secret. We can marry rich and then not have to work. We never have to pay when we go out on dates. Men take us on all expense paid trips- all we have to do is sleep with them. Men light our cigarettes for us. Men hold the door open for us. We pout better(those puppy dog eyes always work!). We're cuter. We lie better. We're better manipulators. We always end up sleeping in the bed when we fight with our other halves, you guys get the couch. We always have food.

Is the nature of men such, that they can reject miracle, and at the great moments of their life, the moments of their deepest, most agonising spiritual difficulties, cling only to the free verdict of the heart? Oh, Thou didst know that Thy deed would be recorded in books, would be handed down to remote times and the utmost ends of the earth, and Thou didst hope that man, following Thee, would cling to God and not ask for a miracle. But Thou didst not know that when man rejects miracle he rejects God too; for man seeks not so much God as the miraculous. And as man cannot bear to be without the miraculous, he will create new miracles of his own for himself, and will worship deeds of sorcery and witchcraft, though he might be a hundred times over a rebel, heretic and infidel.

Utopia quotes
There is a wonderful passage in the Odyssey where Odysseus meets the ghost of Achilles in Hades. They are profoundly courteous to each other. Odysseus, outlining his own toils, reminds Achilles that the supreme honor which the latter receives from all makes light of death; but Achilles, complimenting Odysseus on the magnificence of his adventures, answers that there is no consolation in death, for it is better to be the living slave of a poor man than king of all the dead. Yet, it is hard to imagine Achilles as the slave of a poor man, and hard to believe that he is speaking a literal truth. He is emphasizing the cost of his greatness, the incurable sorrow of being Achilles. He is saying, "I have suffered the wrost, and identified myself with it; you have merely survived. And Odysseus, for his part, says: "you are very honored indeed, but you are dead; I am doing the really difficult and great thing." In the gulf between the two men, and their characteristic views of life, in a few lin

This is a very different show than any I've worked on before. We work sixty-hour weeks. I work 6AM to 6PM because we are all in almost every scene. Even if there's a scene at the reception desk or there's a scene in Michael's office, we're in the background or passing through, walking through. We're creating that office environment; we're always around so it's very demanding. We also have very little lighting set-ups. They'll just shift a fluorescent light or two between scenes and we just do tons of takes. So the best thing about the show is that the writers are brilliant and the writing is very sharp and very smart. All you need to do is make the writing work but because you're doing so many takes and we have such a great ensemble, you can go anyway that you want to go with it. Once we've gotten it down, you can improvise and change it around and bring in stuff, and add stuff all you want. There is a lot of improvisation on the show. A lot of times we will have a scene and then just keep going. And we do it time and time again. We just keep going, and keep going and keep going and a lot of times that stuff at the end of the scene actually becomes the scene.

You spoil the sacraments of the Church, you tear up the articles of the Faith, you destroy the churches, you break and burn the statues which were set up as memorials, you massacre Christians because they preserve the true Faith. What is this fury? Or what rage or madness consumes you? This faith, which God Almighty, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have revealed, established, elevated to power, and glorified a thousand ways through miracles - you persecute this Faith, you wish to overthrow and destroy it. You are blind, but not because you lack eyes or understanding. Do you believe that you will remain unpunished for it? Or are you unaware that God opposes your unlawful efforts and will not permit you to remain in darkness and error? So that the more you indulge yourselves in crime and sacrilege, the more He will prepare great punishments and anguish for you. As far as I am concerned, to tell you frankly, if I wasn't occupied in the English wars I would have come to see you a long time ag

God quotes
We were lost and dead in sin. We were by nature objects of God's wrath. But God Loved us! That Love caused Him to do something about our situation. God is rich in mercy, so He made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions. God acted on His Love for us and saved us by His Grace! Grace is the result of the actions of His Love. The remarkable thing about His Grace is that He didn't ask us to do anything but believe Him. God didn't ask us to perform some great deed. He didn't demand obedience from us before He would save us. God made us alive with Christ 'even when we were dead in transgressions and sins.' God is showing the universe 'the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.' (Ephesians 2:7) God was Kind to us 'in' Christ because He Loved us.

Many people, young and old, male and female, whites and blacks think only about being rich, comfortable and to spend luxuriously. Well, base on the knowledge I recently acquired about luxury; it is something that is an indulgence rather than a necessity. And talking about indulgence; it is simply a way of gratifying desires. For me, it is a foolish and in fact a senseless behavior.Instead of focusing only on comfort and luxury we should rather get something doing. Something that will fire us up, makes us happy and at the same time excited. Anything can indeed draw or make us happy. For example, some people found delights in reading, acting, dancing, singing and much more. As for me, my delights are simply in writing, acting and reading whatever I found my hands on. peeps, looking at all these closely and with a great knowledge, you will come to understand that these so called comfort and luxury arent the chief requirements of life. It is instead, living an enthusiastic life.

Enthusiasm quotes
Art is not a pleasure, a solace, or an amusement; art is great matter. Art is an organ of human life, transmitting man's reasonable perception into feeling. In our age the common religious perception of men is the consciousness of the brotherhood of man-we know that the well-being of man lies in the union with his fellow men. True science should indicate the various methods of applying this consciousness to life. Art should transform this perception into feeling. The task of art is enormous. Through the influence of real art, aided by science, guided by religion, that peaceful co-operation of man is now obtained by external means-by law courts, police, charitable institutions, factory inspection, etc.-should be obtained by man's free and joyous activity. Art should cause violence to be set aside. And it is only art that can accomplish this.

There's something in every atheist, itching to believe, and something in every believer, itching to doubt. ~Mignon McLaughlin, The Second Neurotic's Notebook, 1966 Religion enables us to ignore nothingness and get on with the jobs of life. ~John Updike, Self-Consciousness, 1989 A religion without the element of mystery would not be a religion at all. ~Edwin Lewis It is doubtless true that religion has been the world's psychiatrist throughout the centuries. ~Karl Menninger Religion is the metaphysics of the masses. ~Arthur Schopenhauer All religions are the same: religion is basically guilt, with different holidays. ~Cathy Ladman No religion is a true religion that does not make men tingle to their finger tips with a sense of infinite hazard. ~William Ernest Hocking The church is the great lost and found department. ~Robert Short I speak not of men's creeds - they rest between Man and his Maker. ~George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage God made s

Playing Arthur, I'm sorry to sound sappy, but it was a gift from the Gods. I've always been a working actor and I've always made my living in acting for a long time. I'd been auditioning for that show, I knew the casting directors pretty well. Arthur was the fifth character I auditioned for on the show. They kept bringing me in for parts and not finding anything for me. I actually wasn't supposed to audition for the part of Arthur, I was auditioning for one of the gay choir members from David's choir. Then I read about that part and went, 'Oh my God, that's perfect for me.' And I asked permission to read for it right then and there. I went in and auditioned without any preparation whatsoever and I think that probably helped me because I didn't overthink it. It was an amazing experience. Those shows are so well written and so well acted they're like little one-hour movies. So in a way I got to do like twelve or thirteen little one-hour movies as a very interesting and complex character. Everyone was really cool. Alan Ball, all the artists behind that show, were just so supportive and great and that really helped launch my career. I'm really grateful to the show for that.
