We all have a bright future, no matter how dark our past is. There are things that were out of control and things that were totally in our control that we totally mishandled in the past.

Every one of us knows deep down that if we had just made a few better choices in our pasts, we may be somewhere totally different in our lives than we are right now.

You can never let your past convince you that your future shouldnt be bright, instead you must use your past to help convince yourself that your future should be bright, and not only should it be bright, but it should also help to illuminate your new path as well.

Use what you have been through to make your life better, never let the person that you used to be in your past, take away from who you can be in the future.
