Education without wisdom is a fertile ground for intolerance. Given a little bit of rationalization we can justify any belief we want. When your beliefs don't match mine, I become intolerant. If I am lazy or insecure in my thinking, I reject your thoughts. Watch any child confront something that is different, like a bug or a worm. Children who are insecure will become afraid. They can't tolerate it. If they are secure they will become curious. The worm becomes a thing of beauty and joy.
