Libraries are storehouses of resources, knowledge and services. Libraries are building or room managed by a public body, institution or private individual, containing a massive collection of books and magazines. People can sit in the library and read books there or can even borrow it for a specific time, to read it later. Libraries are also called reading rooms. The term “library” is now used for a collection of materials meant for common use.
Modern libraries are becoming refined day by day and provide unrestricted access to any information required, owing to the large number of resources that are present in such libraries. Caroline Kennedy had once remarked, “One of the greatest gifts my brother and I received from my mother was her love of literature and language. With their boundless energy, libraries open the door to these worlds and so many others. I urge young and old alike to embrace all that libraries have to offer.” Libraries often provide the services of a librarian who has idea about where the resources or books related to a particular topic can be located in the library. He or she is an expert in organising and finding information and interpreting information needs. Libraries often provide a place having pin-drop silence for studying.
