Is pain a physical or mental state?

Mental. its all inside your head. if you make yourself believe it doesnt hurt then it wont. if you pay close attention to it and think it will.. then IT WILL. but. its mental, because you can be totally numb to it all or totally sensitive. me, personally I'm numb so.. I dont feel anything.. so thats why I say its mental..

I would say mental. You wouldn't really feel anything unless your mind depended on it. It is what you make of the situation on how truly bad it hurts or feels. You could make it feel worse than it really is or make it not hurt at all. Does that make sense?
