Yes, because getting involved more into your children lives will bring more lov to you and your children when there is so confidence and some structure there. Be a parent first then a friend. You should always know who your child is socializing with. This can be good and bad either way. But at the end of the day, you can say that you have tried to accomplish something positive with your children about society and what's out there in the world today. Talking to each other is the key!
