Ask him what he wants.. talk to him about it maturely. just dont be all needy and clingy not saying you are.. just warning you.. and. If you love him.. things will work out it in the end .. most of the things work things out in the end with out you realizing it in the end.. I would personally talk to him.. because if you love him.. then you also want the best for him and you also want him to be happy.. see what he wants.. then talk to him about how you feel and see how things go..
