I care too much about my job. I really dont care about fame and tabloids and all that sh... Its so easy to buy into, but it will just destroy you. I really care about acting. I also really care about my music, which keeps me happy. I think when you lose sight of what you love, thats when you can fall off track.

I don't wanna be Courtney Love, I wanna be Kurt Cobain. He's brilliant and his songs are genius. The Hole records are great. Everyone always compares me to Courtney Love because they think we, like, dress the same and we both have blonde hair, wear lipstick and dresses. But I'm sorry, don't a lot of girls dress like that? I look at Nirvana. I don't look at Hole.

I have a knife collection. My favorites my switchblade. I flew from New York to Los Angeles and still had a couple of knives in my purse. I thought I took them all out but they got tucked up in the folds. I went through security, took them on the plane, opened my bag to get my wallet in LA and they fell out. I was like: 'Holy sh..!

Im not dissing Miley personally. However, I do think the Disney bubblegum sh.. that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression. I dont know Miley, but musically were different. To compare us because of our age is silly.

I am angsty. I'll be angsty until I'm 80 years old. I think that keeps things fresh. But I always think angst is such a derogatory word toward teenagers. It just means you're figuring sh.. out, and I don't know why that's a negative thing. I have no desire to be some tabloid party girl. I'm entirely a loner. I have been my entire life.
