There is a huge difference between being cocky and being confident. When we face off with competition in life we have to be aware of the fact that not everybody that looks weak actually is, and not everyone who looks strong is actually stronger than us.

To know yourself is to know what your strengths are and what your weaknesses are in order to determine the best way to combat your opponent.

Your opponent may very well be a person in front of you causing a confrontation, or it may very well be an obstacle that life throws your way.

Keep replaying the old victories you have accomplished in your head over and over so that you know what you can do to keep improving on the performances you will give in the present and in the future. Remember to keep your humility at all times as well, for humility is strength.
