Trinity is basically a Christian doctrine or principle which defines God to be formed of three persons namely father, son and the Holy Spirit. All the above are co-equal, co-substantial and co-eternal. The doctrine of trinity is considered to be a big mystery of Christian faith. The doctrine developed from the biblical language found is some excerpts from the New Testament. The baptismal formula is one such example of usage of the biblical language. According to this doctrine, God exists as one person but is eventually one. In the words of Walter Martin, “The Doctrine of the Trinity teaches that within the unity of the one Godhead there are three separate persons who are coequal in power, nature, and eternity.”
