Happiness is a mind state or feeling/s of contentment usually caused by but not limited to being loved, satisfied, pleasured, etc. Feelings of happiness are thought by many people to only be caused by other people in their lives, spending time with family members, spending a night on the town with a spouse or relationship partner, but a lot of people fail to realize there are things you can do on your own to bring yourself happiness.
There are a lot of things you can do to create happiness, such as setting a goal and accomplishing it, or just taking yourself out and treating yourself. Not only can you create happiness for yourself but it is also easy to create happiness for others, such as donating your time, money, or belongings to the less fortunate, spending time with a younger sibling or family member that may look up to you. Be proactive about happiness, instead of waiting for it to be created by someone else and come to you, make yourself happy, or better yet, make someone else less fortunate than you happy!
