Everyone has things in their lives that bring them trouble consistently over and over again. What we continue to do over and over again equals up to who we are as a person. Are you proud of the things that you continue to do over and over?
If we really desire to change we have to exchange the old behaviors we have, and exchange them with new behaviors, or new alternatives, and not only will we be fighting off our "demons" but we will also be empowered to live a better life, and hopefully a new life dedicated to growing into the person that we want to become.
First you have to decide specifically what it is that you want. It isn't enough to just say you want to stop smoking; you have to raise your standards to the point that you see smoking as something that you would never do, for example.
You can make changes in your life, and fight off your demons, but you have to be determined, and dedicated, and you have to know that doing so isn't a sprint, it is a marathon, you have to reprogram your brain!
