Like you said, you may not be the prettiest but I confident you able to catch guy eyes. If you are a student, just join extracurricular activities. Make sure you are participate in there. People will put their eyes on you when you able to contribute in there.

Guys are stupid, just like me xD. but your so beautiful! and the right guy will come some day, I'd rather wait for him then sit around and get hurt by some dickstick. so I usually just chill and listen to bring me the horizon, falling in reverse, etc. until he comes! xD just be patient dahling (x it will be worth the wait!

Guys are blinded and worried bout how the girl looks than to look deep within. Very Few guys knows how to look past the looks and into the inner core of them. Just wait sooner or later you'll meet someone that'll see for who u are.
