When we play for small forfeits I lose the games more, because they don't concentrate as much. It doesn't bother me like when we play for push-ups and you have to kiss the other guy's toes. Like I'll lose them. But if it's stuff like a cricket bat or you have to get lunch for everyone and stuff, I concentrate a bit harder.

After Indian Wells I sat down with my coaches and spoke about making sure my priority was to peak for the Grand Slams but I can still play great tennis in the Masters Series and try to win every match I play in. That's what I need to be focused on and that's what we talked about together after Indian Wells. I was nervous before I played against Kohlschreiber and I was just rubbish. You gear towards each Grand Slam. They are the four peaks of the year where you want to be playing your best tennis and I achieved that in Australia. Since then it's not been particularly good but a lot can change from week to week. I went from playing some of the best tennis of my life in Australia to playing some really bad tennis in the space of a few weeks and it can change. I just need to keep working.

The only disappointing thing was I wasn't able to create more break point opportunities, as normally that's one of the best points of my game. This week I felt so much better than I did in Monte Carlo. This tournament is a step in the right direction compared with the last couple of weeks, which were going the wrong way. I'm disappointed to lose but I was a lot happier with the way I hit the ball.

In terms of the way I was striking the ball it was a different level to the last two tournaments, way, way better. I just need to serve and return better, which are two basic things you tend to do better the more matches you play. I didn't do the basics as well as I would have liked.

I'm excited to be going back to The Queen's Club. It's a great tournament and the grass courts are as good as anywhere in the world, so it's the perfect preparation for Wimbledon.
