Worry About Your Character And Not Your Reputation
Your character is who your truest self is. Despite what others may think, and despite what reputation you may have accrued in society over time your character is what genuinely defines you.

To help shape our character we must pay attention to two key factors. The first of which is our mental attitude. The way that we respond to the circumstances in our lives says a lot about who we really are. Those with strong moral character dont let situations sway them or make them look at life negatively, because they know who they are and what is destined for their lives because of strong faith and belief.

The way that we spend time also represents a huge part of who we truly are. People spend their time on what they see as most important. Your priorities and beliefs are shaped in the areas of life that you spend the most time.

Look around. Are you truly happy and able to look at almost anything with a positive view? Are you spending time where you truly feel it is most important?

People Don't Change Unless They Want To
People don't change unless they want to. Unless something in their life prompts it. You have to learn to see people for who they really are, right from the get-go. If you don't like something about someone, or how they're treating you, don't expect that they're going to change just for you. It's who they are. Expecting any different only leads to frustration, disappointment and more hurt or disrespect. Not worth it!
There aren't many things in life that aren't possible, but one of them is that people who don't want to change can't be helped to be changed by us. There are many in our lives that we know that seem to be willingly undertaken by life and its circumstances. We must all learn that though there are those in our lives who we feel aren't getting everything out of life that they possibly can, and are living nowhere near to where they may potentially be, there is nothing that we can do for these people if they don't want change within themselves.

Overcoming Resentment Against Others
Strength of character means the ability to overcome resentment against others, to hide hurt feelings, and to forgive quickly. Lawrence G. Lovasik
Those who are strong don't make it their mission to hurt others, or to seek out to find who may hurt them. Those who are strong realize that there are things in life that you simply can't control, including the fact that there will be people in your life that will hurt you, and that there will also always be people in your life that will disappoint you.

Developing Character And Achieving Success
Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. -Helen Keller
Don't think that you can do it all by sitting around nothing. If you are ever to develop into the person that you think you can really be, you will have to believe in the fact that you can't do it without going through some things.

Worry About Your Character Not Your Reputation
Worry about your character, not your reputation. Your character is who you are, your reputation is who people think you are.
Sometimes we get too caught up in what people think about us and forget to worry about what really matters in life, like the people who love us for who we really are, and who we really are deep down inside of our hearts. In order to not worry about our reputations, we have to live our own lives, being confident in the goals we have set for ourselves, and also being confident in the fact that though not everyone may like us, and though not everyone will believe in what exactly we are doing.

Quote by Martin Luther King Jr
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. The true neighbor will risk his position, his prestige, and even his life for the welfare of others.
The legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. has impacted the world greatly, and probably the most by one man in over 100 years. His constant determination to bring about change to an American society rotted with hundreds of years of hatred and racism was unparalleled, and to this day the world hasn't met a man quite like Dr. King. Born a poor preacher's son, Dr. King was effected greatly by growing up as a young African-American boy, and seeing how his people were treated so unfairly, he made it his living to fight for the equal treatment of his people. Unfortunately Dr. King died as a martyr for this cause, and was never able to see the fruits of his labor, but he would more than likely be pleased to see the change that he pushed so hard for is closer than ever.
