I think you should just talk to him and tell him what you're thinking and feeling.. Sometimes guys don't think it all the way through and maybe he hasn't.. Once you say how you feel he may want to save your friendship more than date you. But you can't know without talking to him.. Hope it helps.. At least a little.. I've been there.. It sucks.. Sorry..
