Why cant people tell the truth instead of lying all the damn time, is it easier?

Because sometimes one can deal with a situation with a lie , and getting a "thank u" , rather than being punched in the face by telling the truth. eq. "Hey you look nice" is safer to say rather than "just as ugly and pathetic as always. "
