You'll have to forgive me if I laugh when that *best friend* you met last week, robs you blind today. Friendship is not some title you bestow upon a stranger! It has to be earned! And that takes time. It begins with acquaintances, and then grows into buddies. After a reasonable amount of time, the buddies become friends (lower case). And once they show you they're worthy, then they become FRIENDS (upper case)! And it's from this pool, the FRIENDS pool, that you choose your Best Friends. It's also the pool from which they choose you. If we follow this process, no one will ever get the drop on us again.
