It is an edifice in which dramatic performances or spectacles are performed for the amusement of crowd by theatre actors with great acting talents. The edifice is usually uncovered, except the stage but in modern times it is roofed. The actors convey or perform a fictional or real experience through gestures, song, dance and speech. In the words of Tallulah Bankhead, “It's one of the tragic ironies of the theatre that only one man in it can count on steady work - the night watchman.” Theatre, in general, is the name given to any room which is adapted to the exhibition of any performance such as public lectures, scholastic exercises, anatomical demonstrations, surgical operations etc. According to Oscar Wilde, “I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.”
