Without an attempt, we will surely fail 100% of the time. Instead of living our lives in the attempt to avoid failure, we should live life fearlessly, realizing that if there are no failures then there are no victories. If you aren't able to fail and learn from why you failed, then chances are you won't be able to succeed much in life either.

Success takes a stubborn persistence more often than just a lucky move or two. Those who are truly successful, and maintain this success over long periods of time, do so by continuing to work hard, and by continuing to take shots, even when they are unsure of the outcome of the risks they are taking.

Don't waste your time, your soul, or any other part of yourself, by refusing to take the risks that you really need to take in life. The more you think about the risks you know you need to take, the heavier they will weigh on you, sometimes you just have to take the plunge, and live in the moment!
