Its human tendency I guess... because if we genuinely care for someone then in return we expect the same.. and when we don't get that same affection from the other side, its obvious for us to get hurt...
I believe it is only natural for us to expect more from someone we like coz once we like someone, we expect them to behave in the same manner as we do. To be safe, do not have high expectation on anybody or you'll get hurt easily.
