Its tempting not to talk to her to find out whats going on and why they are talking but it shows you trust him and so I think you did the right thing :)
I guess,its fine.your just showing how u trusted him.but sometimes too much trust is n0t good.you wont knw,they stil love each and your giving them a chance.
