The addict thing is kinda serious here. try helping him become sober, because, his addiction may ruin your healthy relationship. try knowing him more. 2 months is kinda scary to imagine. sit down and talk to him regarding his addiction and future. and apart from that, since you both are living together, his addiction may even affect you. so I'll suggest you to get him rid of his addiction. apart from all these things, I wish you both happiness. best of luck.
