Establish communication with him and talk more. Unless until you get to know what he realy thinks about you you wont be able to perceive about his feelings. You shouldn't be afraid and need to analyse his request. If you think he is sincere, honest and loving you may go ahead with friendship. Do not spare love if someone can't spare love for you. Be happy if you get a good friend :)
