I found the researching academic's life was really lonely. It drove me crazy, also because I fell in love and married a more social person. I thought about it long and hard, and realized that the time I spent onstage was when I was really more myself and at ease. So, late in the game, I went to the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver, Colo.
