The main key for me is to always find the truth of the character, and to find where that is and stay with that. Choosing good scripts is handy. Also, just having a commitment to your work which is total in trying to find the truth of the character you are playing, and that will come through. I think the worst thing, actually, would be to start to see yourself as a personality, rather than an actor. Just stay true to yourself as an actor and choose characters that you want to explore.

Most scripts are bad. I read a lot of them. 'Brick' was a good script just to read. It was like, 'Oh my God, these words feel so good in my mouth.' A lot of movies try to set up a world with cool sets, costumes, camera work. In 'Brick,' the world is born from the words.

His own biggest fan and got a fan base as big as Japan, uh ... yeah ... and? All hail the king! And give him three cheers, fam, like, hip hip hooray! Do his thing for the little kids like Sling Blade To the grave, put in work like a slave. On how to flip scripts on the dipstick brigade. Rock 'em like "Su-su-sudio" played, back when we used to rock the shag, no fade. This skilled trade like a tailor made suede. Hit the studio....and I'm paid!!!

And they were writing scripts where Christine had hit the glass ceiling. And I always thought Christine would never hit the glass ceiling. I thought her dreams would take her. Maybe her dreams wouldn't take her where she wanted, but she still had her dreams.

Yeah, but the problem remains that its hard to find great scripts and great material. The truth is that The Kings Speech, which is great material, people werent lining up to finance it. It was thanks to people like Harvey that it did get financed. Im not nave, theres maybe material that I want to do that is still hard to finance. So I think that it remains that whatever success you have, it doesnt necessarily mean your films can be financed easily.
