Being there for someone is the act of being in the physical presence of someone who seems to be going through a rough emotional time in their lives. When someone that we know is going through a rough patch in their lives, sometimes it is just good to be physically present so that they have someone to lean on or to talk to, even if we don’t really know the right words to say. Treat them as you would treat them normally, but just show them that you are there. Sometimes when a person does this, it gives the person who is going through the rough patch a hope that they probably wouldn’t of had if they felt alone in the world as well. Never underestimate the power of being there for someone, and always make a valiant effort to do so, even if you don’t feel you know the right words to say to help them through their situation.
