When her name is mentioned in the opera history books we will recall that vibrant, soaring tone-that and the blinding, high-beam-headlight smile that she flashed on her fans at each curtain call.

In addition to a soaring stock market, 6.6 million jobs have been created since tax relief measures went into effect in 2003. Our deficit situation has also improved as tax revenues have increased at double-digit rates over the past two years.

I'm really bad at giving advice. I have to say though, if you're good at something else, do that. This business is so cutthroat and unglamourous, no matter how amazing it looks. I'm not really good at anything else so this is why I do this. I just try and toss aside all of the crap that goes on. I don't mean to sound so bitter, but I just want to be honest about what it's really like. If this is what you really want to do then get ready for soaring highs and devistating lows. And good luck!!

It's a difficult thing to say, but I believe it: I consider my entire movie career a complete failure... I'll tell you why. The goal of movie making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that.

I am bourgeois to the core and parochial beyond belief, and yet I am drawn to art and scholarship as my anti-type, my shadow, the voice of distinction I never possessed. I don't think of myself as a teacher so much as an impersonator of profundities, inhabiting the wisdom of texts with the naked confidence that the value of the genius I espouse transcends the particular fraud that I am the one espousing it. And it doesn't even matter to me that no one seems to be listening; those who listen that I don't know about are enough to keep me going--soaring on the wings of borrowed metaphors.

INSCRIPTION, n. Something written on another thing. Inscriptions are of many kinds, but mostly memorial, intended to commemorate the fame of some illustrious person and hand down to distant ages the record of his services and virtues. To this class of inscriptions belongs the name of John Smith, penciled on the Washington monument. Following are examples of memorial inscriptions on tombstones: (See EPITAPH.)
