Forgiving Yourself
In every single person's life lies a mistake made by a person that they wish they could take back, whether they are ready to admit it or not. The only way to move past the regret of a mistake in our lives that still causes us pain is to forgive yourself for it. Not only is it our right to, but forgiving our selves allows us to move past obstacles in our lives that we would not have otherwise moved past without doing so.

Forgiving yourself is synonymous with refreshing or cleansing one's spirit of the emotional and spiritual turmoil that seems to block a person from living their life as they should, as a clogged artery may stop a person's life in the physical sense. In order to move forward in our lives, the forgiveness of ourselves, and those who commit wrongs against us is key.

Adult Responsibilities
Forgive me for my mistakes, I'm still a kid learning the responsibility of being an adult.
This is a message to both those of a younger age, and those of an older age with children to care for. As parents it is easy for us to get aggravated with our children when they do something immature or what we may consider, just plain stupid. Do remember, a time ago, when you were just a young kid, and you defied all authority to do something outrageously stupid. Making mistakes is just a part of growing up and learning how to be an adult so parents, always remember to exercise the use of patience when dealing with your children.

Without forgiveness we can not let go of the bitterness and resentment we have towards someone, and without letting go of these things, they start to eat back at us spiritually, emotionally, and eventually physically. When we remain angry for extended periods of time it definitely takes a toll on our bodies, for example, with a rise in blood pressure.

Learn To Accept and Forgive Your Past
The best way to escape from the past is not to avoid or forget it, but to accept and forgive it.
One of the foremost approaches to learning in life is to make new decisions based off of previous experiences. It starts when we are young, many of us may have tried to draw near or even touch a hot stove not knowing that we would get burned, and then from that experience learn to stay away from touching hot burning stoves with no protection. This is an example of how we use our past mistakes to determine what decisions to make in our future. It is imperative that we draw from our experiences so that we won't get burned again.

Apologizing Doesn't Mean That You're Wrong
Apologizing doesn't always mean that you're wrong and the other person is right. It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.
We must remember an apology isn't an apology unless it's meaningful! If your apology isn't sincere and you're just apologizing to avoid an argument then that can just lead to more damage. Also you can't just apologize for everything, you have to know what you're apologizing for.
