Why don't you put up a picture of the two of you together? Its your Facebook not hers.. if you love the girl just put up a pic of the two of you or switch back to just a picture of you.. After all she's just your gf not your mom or wife so she can't tell you what to do.. Just assure her she doesn't need to be insecure and you wouldn't cheat on her if that's why she made you put her picture up.
I think you should do what you as an adult want to do. It sounds as if she wants to be in the picture so your picture will not attract other females. Would you consider a picture of the both of you?
