Being strong does not mean avoiding the truth, it means accepting it, learning about it, and dealing with it head on.

There aren't many things in life that aren't possible, but one of them is that people who don't want to change can't be helped to be changed by us. There are many in our lives that we know that seem to be willingly undertaken by life and its circumstances. We must all learn that though there are those in our lives who we feel aren't getting everything out of life that they possibly can, and are living nowhere near to where they may potentially be, there is nothing that we can do for these people if they don't want change within themselves.

Sometimes we get too caught up in what people think about us and forget to worry about what really matters in life, like the people who love us for who we really are, and who we really are deep down inside of our hearts. In order to not worry about our reputations, we have to live our own lives, being confident in the goals we have set for ourselves, and also being confident in the fact that though not everyone may like us, and though not everyone will believe in what exactly we are doing.

The legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. has impacted the world greatly, and probably the most by one man in over 100 years. His constant determination to bring about change to an American society rotted with hundreds of years of hatred and racism was unparalleled, and to this day the world hasn't met a man quite like Dr. King. Born a poor preacher's son, Dr. King was effected greatly by growing up as a young African-American boy, and seeing how his people were treated so unfairly, he made it his living to fight for the equal treatment of his people. Unfortunately Dr. King died as a martyr for this cause, and was never able to see the fruits of his labor, but he would more than likely be pleased to see the change that he pushed so hard for is closer than ever.
