The final mark of great character is the willingness to sacrifice for the sake of others without the expectation of anything in return. This is the mark of love. This is the purest expression of love that we can make to our fellow man. Associate with people who give of themselves selflessly and, better yet, anonymously. Love has no expectations, seeks no rewards, expects no praise. Love is giving. Love is consistently selfless. Love shares because it exists to give itself away.
