The meaning of life and the reward of life are two different things. But both rely on beauty. People and objects that are seen as beautiful are mostly defined by their rarity. The rarity of a trait be it of physical, character, or skill. But since life in itself is not rare on a global scale, I believe the beauty of life is its randomness - that anything can happen at any time. So if anyone were to destroy life on earth without physically doing it would achieve this by eliminating its randomness. Hope is tied to randomness in the belief that the wind can change and the tide can turn at any moment. We are not machines and our lives can not be processed and manufactured. If we come to the point where are futures are forecasted then we will always see death at its end, not life. The meaning of life is to experience beauty, the reward of life is to be beautiful and add beauty to the world- first by doing something rare, and then by keeping its randomness. That is how we keep HOPE alive.
