I need a team that needs a point guard, a coach who would take the time to work with me, an American on the team who could show me the ropes and playing time to show off my game.

This is a very different show than any I've worked on before. We work sixty-hour weeks. I work 6AM to 6PM because we are all in almost every scene. Even if there's a scene at the reception desk or there's a scene in Michael's office, we're in the background or passing through, walking through. We're creating that office environment; we're always around so it's very demanding. We also have very little lighting set-ups. They'll just shift a fluorescent light or two between scenes and we just do tons of takes. So the best thing about the show is that the writers are brilliant and the writing is very sharp and very smart. All you need to do is make the writing work but because you're doing so many takes and we have such a great ensemble, you can go anyway that you want to go with it. Once we've gotten it down, you can improvise and change it around and bring in stuff, and add stuff all you want. There is a lot of improvisation on the show. A lot of times we will have a scene and then just keep going. And we do it time and time again. We just keep going, and keep going and keep going and a lot of times that stuff at the end of the scene actually becomes the scene.

We work hard on the show. We really believe in the show. It's an enormous privilege to work on a show that has the power to touch people's lives in such a positive way. The fan mail and the e-mail certainly reflect that.

Honestly, I have had to live like a high priestess in this show. It is a very, very lonely life. When you work the way I work - that means hard - there's no time for play.

People still recognize me from that show. And that's so fine with me. Most people aren't lucky enough to work on a show that sticks in the viewers' minds for so long. I'm never going to have a hard time with that.

Time is the thing. A show like this pulls all your time away from you. Usually I'll get home from work on a Saturday about 10am (after doing night shooting) and I'll sleep until Saturday afternoon. Saturday night and Sunday I'm usually feeling wiped out and I've not seen Holly all week. It's a pretty full-on life, but what do you do? I love my work and there are sacrifices.

The idea of the show is that it's active and that children will become involved and watch the show, but also participate in the show. And I didn't know if that would work.

I love what I'm doing most of the time, but it's hard work. People only see your albums in the charts. They see us at award shows and after-show parties. They don't know about your doubts, the hard work that goes in.

Dont try to impress no one. In due time the hard work will show.

When the show's in production, we work for three weeks at a time and then take a week off.

In a show or a movie, one must work with many people. Many women just don't have the time for it.

You do show after show after show and get them done and on the air. Television devours material. We work a minimum of 12, 14 hours, and often 15, 18 hours a day.

I dont think anything compares to being on your own show and being there every day and getting to know all the crew. When youre working on someone elses show its like going to someone elses house. So, when you get to work on your own show everyday, its a lot more comfortable.

The first day I remember just laughing hysterically and that actually did not stop the whole time I was in New Zealand working on the show. We have a really good time doing the show and I think it comes through.

And I think that at a certain point, after all the time and all the conjecture and everything that had kind of gone on surrounding this show, I think that Mitch just felt like it was time to let it go. It was best for the show.

It's annoying when I hear, "What do your girls do?" Well, first of all, all of my daughters have jobs. They are fashion stylists and designers; they own a chain of stores. They had the stores before they had the show. And my kids worked from the time they were 13 years old. So to me, that's a huge misconception, that the girls don't work. They work 25 hours a day.

Well, there's much more time to do a weekly show, and much more coverage - as it turns out, it was all preparation for the stuff I'm doing now - but it was interesting to see how much time was spent on how little airtime, compared to knocking out a show a day on the soaps.

But that's one of the nice things about doing a stage show, if something doesn't work out, you have the luxury of working on it over time.

I don't care what TV show you work on, even a movie for that matter, it's all about time and money eventually.

Show business has been really, really good to me because I can work and take a lot of time off, and I'm extremely undisciplined person.
