I was lucky enough to see with my own eyes the recent stock-market crash, where they lost several million dollars, a rabble of dead money that went sliding off into the sea. Never as then, amid suicides, hysteria, and groups of fainting people, have I felt the sensation of real death, death without hope, death that is nothing but rottenness, for the spectacle was terrifying but devoid of greatness... I felt something like a divine urge to bombard that whole canyon of shadow, where ambulances collected suicides whose hands were full of rings.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

Relationships form the foundation of all our experience; they shape us from the moment we are born through the moment we die. Relationships happen. They form regardless of our intentions, they are as effortless as breathing. Yet a relationship that strengthens you can be the most elusive thing in the world, hiding always in your own shadow. To truly know someone, to create a relationship that feeds your spirit, you must open yourself up, become vulnerable, be a child in awe and fear. This is the most terrifying thing, more frightening than any disaster, any harm that may be visited upon us. And yet, to let go, to dive into that fear, gives life meaning. It is the most exquisite joy, and the greatest triumph of human life.

OBSESSED, p.p. Vexed by an evil spirit, like the Gadarene swine and other critics. Obsession was once more common than it is now. Arasthus tells of a peasant who was occupied by a different devil for every day in the week, and on Sundays by two. They were frequently seen, always walking in his shadow, when he had one, but were finally driven away by the village notary, a holy man; but they took the peasant with them, for he vanished utterly. A devil thrown out of a woman by the Archbishop of Rheims ran through the trees, pursued by a hundred persons, until the open country was reached, where by a leap higher than a church spire he escaped into a bird. A chaplain in Cromwell's army exorcised a soldier's obsessing devil by throwing the soldier into the water, when the devil came to the surface. The soldier, unfortunately, did not.

Obsessions quotes
God always has something for you, a key for every problem, They're still a light for every shadow, a relief for every sorrow & a plan for every tomorrow. Accept all that is given to you with an open mind. Every gift, whether it warmed your spirit or brought you disappointment is a blessing. Learn from yesterday, live for today, plant seeds for tomorrow, live a life worth living. The philosophy of life is to make the most of it, enjoy the happy moments, challenge the challenges thrown at you. Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else wouldn't understand if you fell apart, because of what has gone on in your life that's true strength. See life in a positive way through any kinda of condition Life may throw your way.

YESTERDAY, n. The infancy of youth, the youth of manhood, the entire past of age. But yesterday I should have thought me blest To stand high-pinnacled upon the peak Of middle life and look adown the bleak And unfamiliar foreslope to the West, Where solemn shadows all the land invest And stilly voices, half-remembered, speak Unfinished prophecy, and witch-fires freak The haunted twilight of the Dark of Rest. Yea, yesterday my soul was all aflame To stay the shadow on the dial's face At manhood's noonmark! Now, in God His name I chide aloud the little interspace Disparting me from Certitude, and fain Would know the dream and vision ne'er again. --Baruch Arnegriff It is said that in his last illness the poet Arnegriff was attended at different times by seven doctors.
