Singing is a great talent and pursuit for music lovers. It is the art of producing musical sounds through voice and it supplements regular speech with some tone, rhythm and harmony. Singing is not everybody’s cup of tea. Professionals or artists who can sing are called singers. Vocalist is another term that is used for singers. Singers perform on music called songs. Singing is done by a group of singers or musicians in a choir or a group such as a rock group or baroque ensemble. In the words of William Wiley, “All kids, when they go to school, are pretty good artists and dancers and singers and poets. All gets buried basically through being educated or brainwashed.” Singers build their careers around one basic type of music genre which might be rock or classical. Singers receive vocal training throughout their careers. The art of singing is a talent which one can master if blessed with a great voice.
