Love is not a drive; it is first and foremost something we feel in our hearts.
It is when love manifests itself as an emotional experience that it is characterized by the sort of profound ecstasy or deep attachment that, when suddenly interrupted or unreciprocated, can cause intense suffering. Love is something for which we will give up eternal life.
