I didn't go to normal high school, I went to full-time ballet school, so I led very regimented, disciplined years. The classes we took, like nutrition, anatomy, dance styles, choreography, music, all these wonderful things. I've taken away with me. At the time my passion was ballet, so I didn't have that normal high school experience, which I'm sure I probably wouldn't have enjoyed anyway.

I'd love to go back and teach primary school. I used to teach fourth grade and fifth grade. I'd love to spend several years teaching kindergarten or maybe third grade.

I really don't like to do back-to-back movies. I concentrate on things at home. My family and school life are important to me. I try to do one movie a year.

Acting doesn't do very much for me. I put off school for it, but its not like it was a sacrifice or anything. I didnt really miss school until I went back. Or maybe I missed it and nobody believed that, not even me. The work of it and I have really great teachers, thats the stuff that adds up for me in a way that acting doesnt.

I've been playing 16 or 17 year-olds for quite a few years, everyone does that. Hopefully I'll be playing that age for a few years. This is way more fun than high school.

So by the time I got to Michigan I was a stutterer. I couldn't talk. So my first year of school was my first mute year and then those mute years continued until I got to high school.

We are the only school in America, drama school in America that trains actors, writers and directors side by side for three years in a master's degree program, and we want them - to expose them to everything.

I worked with practically everybody in the business in all of the years in NBC, but I worked personally many years with people like Crosby and Sinatra, so of course that was a great ground school for me.

In high school I spent most of my time in jeans and T-shirts or Juicy sweats. We're such a laid-back town. I mean, people wore bikinis under their clothes half the time, so you didn't really get dressed up to go to school.

The only thing I shall talk about is my sporting achievements at school. My primary sporting achievement at school was that I dodged games for two complete years and was well through the third year before they discovered that I had completely avoided all games.

We class schools into four grades: leading school, first-rate school, good school and school.

My proudest moment? Probably paying for my sister to go to a good school. One of the best days I've had in years was when she graduated high school. There's just the three of us - my sister, my mother and myself, and it was beautiful to watch her walk across and receive her diploma. That was my proudest day.

In the studio I just finished doing school work, shout out to my teacher Keyshia Williams. Im doing real good, getting all As. School come first and I would not be doing this with my parents if I was not in school, so school is coming out nice.

I was really desperate. I don't know if you can remember back that far, but when I went to graduate school they didn't want females in graduate school. They were very open about it. They didn't mince their words. But then I got in and I got my degree.

Well, the thing is I just got sentenced September 12th 2008 to 30 years. And what it is, is that I got up until a year to file the necessary paperwork and get back in court. Im just trying to get a sentence reduction. I could end up taking my plea back and going to trial or if they came with a sentence reduction if they talking 20 years and they dont want to go trial then Ill take the 20. Ill be fine with that, you know.

In high school, there are so many cliques. You're never safe. In between my junior and senior years, I went away to film Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and I came back ready to do the things with my friends that we always did, but things change. People get older, and there are some inside jokes that you don't know about that have happened. You feel lost for a while, and it's hard to come back from that. Then the friends who have 'replaced' you are territorial. I've experienced that a little bit. There are catty, insecure, and gossipy girls everywhere, but for me, I don't think it's a matter of any of them being genuinely bad at heart. I just think that maybe the different ways in which people are raised make them different and insecure. They point out the bad things in others just to make themselves feel better. It's everywhere.

I grew up in Senegal but I was born in St. Louis. My mom and pop made sure we were all born in the States, that way we wouldn't have any immigration problems. We came here to go to school. Then in the summer we would go back to Senegal. Eventually, after high school, I ended up staying.

Man, I just knew. When I was in middle school I always used to love listening to rap. The first [song] my pops bought me was U.T.F.Os Roxanne, Roxanne. So ever since I was about five or six years old, I just liked listening to it. Then, when I was about eight or nine, I kinda started doing it for friends in middle school. They liked hearing it.

I really had a rough time in middle school. Middle school to me was the way most people explain high school. Then in high school I had a blast. I basically did everything that you would do in high school or in college, so it really wasn't a difficult thing to pull out.
