To Forgive Is To Set A Prisoner Free
When we choose to hold on to resentment against others, and hold on to anger for the situations that they put us in, we may not realize it, but we are only hurting ourselves.

When we hold onto the cancer that pain has caused us, we start to realize that it is because of this pain that we are holding onto, that we don't really feel freedom as we really should in our everyday lives.

Instead of your mind being able to wander in different directions so that you may be able to dream higher and reach farther, you will spend a good amount of time thinking about and dealing with old feelings and old situations that will never change because they are the past.

Always forgive and never forget. At the same time never let someone's wrongs against you ever limit your life in any way.

Overcoming Resentment Against Others
Strength of character means the ability to overcome resentment against others, to hide hurt feelings, and to forgive quickly. Lawrence G. Lovasik
Those who are strong don't make it their mission to hurt others, or to seek out to find who may hurt them. Those who are strong realize that there are things in life that you simply can't control, including the fact that there will be people in your life that will hurt you, and that there will also always be people in your life that will disappoint you.

Inspirational Quote By Mother Teresa
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
It seems as though the more we know, and the more we find ourselves in tune with life, the crazier that the world and the people in it actually seem. Even through this, we have to be willing to love. It takes courage and faith to continue to believe in people when they have shown you every reason in the world not to.

Those who are angry and remain angry do nothing but diminish their lives with every piece of bitterness that they hold on to. This is because the angry bitterness that they are holding on to overtime starts to poison their bodies, from their mental body to their physical body.

Forgive Those Who Have Hurt You In The Past
Forgive those who have hurt you in the past. But more than this, forgive yourself for allowing them to hurt you.
When we are dealing with forgiveness we have to realize that being able to forgive is more than a choice that we should make, instead, it is a choice we have to make. It is in our best interest to forgive because if we dont waive our feelings of negativity and our desire for another person to be condemned, we will be condemned ourselves.

If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart.
In life there is a lesson to be learned in all of your victories and all of your defeats. Don't let things like failed relationships bring you down or stop you from ever wanting to trust another human being again. Forgive Them Even If They Are Not Sorry
Forgive them even if they are not sorry.
When you are able to forgive others, even if they are unapologetic for the wrongs that they have committed against you, only then will your mind truly be free. Those who are willing to hold grudges against those who trespass against them are only doing their own selves a disservice. Being unforgiving to someone doesn't benefit any person at all. It causes pain to be experienced over and over again that just doesn't need to be thought about on such a high level.

Forgiving Yourself
You have the right to forgive yourself anytime you want.
In every single person's life lies a mistake made by a person that they wish they could take back, whether they are ready to admit it or not.
